EXPERIENTIAL MAPPING:RED = SMELL (GARBAGE/TRUCK) GREEN = SIGHT BLUE = HEAR YELLOW = TASTE PURPLE = TOUCH (EMOTIONS) The experiential map I designed consisted the notion of sensory which provided watercolors that represents the 5 senses from that walk through the neighborhood. From the sense of smell, to the views of sighting, to the hearing of noise, to the touch of what it felt like being there, and lastly the taste of everything combining to create a sense of what it may be like to live there in the residences’ shoes. Therefore, the conduction of engagements within the community came to play and the numerous information retrieved will help me understand the dreams and needs of the people who live there. The snail swirls resemble the spiritual smell of Hmong cultural foods that connects the Hmong home owned residents together. Creating a unified organic connection withiin this neighborhood. It also creates a rational counter points that allow possible spaces in between connections. |
